Stay reachable no matter where life takes you. Our call forwarding feature allows you to automatically redirect incoming home phone calls to your cell phone, office line, or any other number so that you never miss a beat.

Ring Mode Options

Simultaneous
All your call forwarding numbers will ring at the same time, including your home phone number, so you can choose where to answer the call.

Sequential
If you have multiple call forwarding numbers, they will ring one-by-one. If there’s no answer and no voicemail picks up, the call will route back to your Fongo voicemail.

Call Forward Options

Always Call Forward (Simultaneous)

Your call forwarding settings will kick-in immediately, for every call.

Call Forward When Unavailable (Sequential)
Call forwarding settings will only kick-in if there is no answer on the home phone number, or if the adapter is offline.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can setup call forwarding to any Canadian number, except for phone numbers in the territories.

Aside from Canadian numbers, you can also setup call forwarding to US numbers, as long as their calling rate costs less than 3 cents per min.

You can ensure the phone number you want to use costs less than 3 cents / minute here.

Notes:

  • A United States number used in call forwarding will NOT cost you international calling credits
  • You cannot add any international phone numbers as call forwarding numbers (only U.S. & CAN numbers)
  • You cannot add Toll-Free numbers as call forwarding numbers

  • You cannot forward to a phone number that already is a destination for call forwarding by another Fongo account. For example, if you and your partner both have Fongo Mobile, you both cannot forward your Fongo numbers to your home phone
  • You cannot forward to FreePhoneLine numbers. Only forwarding from Fongo Home Phone numbers to Fongo Mobile numbers (and vice versa) are allowed.
  • Fongo is not intended to be used primarily as a call forwarding service

When you try adding a call forwarding number to your account, you may receive an invalid number error.

There are 2 main reasons:

  1. The reason for this error is that a number can only be used Once within our system, this includes Fongo Mobile, Fongo World Edition, Fongo Home Phone, and FreePhoneLine. You (or someone you may know) may have already added that number elsewhere within our system on another account, and you must remove the number from your other account before you can add it to a different one.
  2. You cannot forward to FreePhoneLine numbers. Only forwarding from Fongo Home Phone numbers to Fongo Mobile numbers (and vice versa) are allowed.
