Fongo Launches Free Conference Calling Service in Canada

Service enables anyone to host conference calls with no fees, no call length restrictions and no setup required

WATERLOO, ONTARIO, April 3, 2013 –

Fongo Inc.,Canada’s fastest growing mobile telecommunications company, today announced the launch of its new Free Conference Calling service. Now, anyone with a Fongo phone number can host free conference calls for up to 10 people with no fees, no call length restrictions and no setup required.

Fongo users already have a Fongo Free Conference Calling pin code — their 10-digit Fongo phone number. Anyone can get a free Fongo phone number by downloading the free Fongo app for iPhone or Android, or by signing up for Fongo Home Phone.

Call participants simply dial into any of the Fongo Free Conference Calling dial-in numbers across the country, from any landline or mobile phone, and enter the host’s 10-digit Fongo phone number as the conference call pin code to instantly connect.

“News like this from Fongo is going to keep coming,” said Dave Bullock, president of Fongo. “Soon every Canadian will know they no longer have to pay for these types of services.”

Fongo launched its free mobile calling service to businesses last February with the Dell Voice app, sponsored by Dell Canada. The app has since been renamed Fongo and is being used by over 250,000 Canadians.

With the launch of this new free conference calling service, Fongo is expanding its suite of business services, helping companies save even more on their business phone bills. Companies can now take advantage of Fongo Free Conference Calling, in addition to the company’s free mobile calling service, not only here in Canada but from anywhere in the world.

“Calling costs can really add up for a business,” said Bullock. “Even with a small team, monthly mobile and conference calling costs can run into the thousands of dollars.”

Fongo Free Conference Calling is a high quality, free alternative to expensive conference calling services and is available in English and in French.
