Submit your number transfer by logging in to your Fongo Works account at

We Contact Your Current Provider

Fongo will contact your provider and get the number transferred on your behalf.

We recommend you don’t contact your provider to inform them of your transfer or cancelling your account with them before the transfer is completed.

Your Number is Transferred

We will notify you by email when your number has successfully transferred.

Please log out and log back in to the Fongo Works mobile app, and power cycle any Pro devices after receiving confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Number transfers can take up 7 business days to complete. The first business day only counts if the transfer is submitted before 12pm. More information on transfer times can be found here.

Yes, when you sign up for Fongo Works you will be using the free version, which you can use to test out the service. You can transfer your number to your account at any time, whether you have upgraded to Pro or are still using the free version.
  • Your account with the other provider is not active or is flagged for disconnect
  • Your account has outstanding balance owed to current provider
  • Porting number must belong to you or LOA is provided
  • You disconnect or initiate a disconnect for the number before finalizing porting with Fongo
  • You provide inaccurate information for porting resulting in multiple rejections
  • You did not authorize the transfer upon the current provider requesting authorization
  • You initiated porting but then decided to cancel for any reason (i.e. provider offers better rates, number porting to some other company etc.)

Yes you can, however we will treat it the same as a regular number transfer from another provider. 

Example: You transferred your number into Fongo Works, but now you’re transferring it into Fongo Home Phone. You will need to submit a number transfer during Home Phone signup or in your Home Phone account to transfer the number from Fongo Works over to Fongo Home Phone service. 

Exceptions: Fongo Works customers can transfer numbers freely between their Fongo Works accounts, just ask our support team
